I am Maks Kulicki, the author of Code, Cashflow and Art.

Not long ago, I was reading about how SEO and AI-generated content are bloating the internet, how social media has replaced forums and how many websites exist just to chase numbers. This brings me closer to the dead internet theory—the idea that the internet is "dead" because most of the traffic comes from bots talking to other bots.

Then I came across a user who was trying to predict the future. He said that when we reach the critical point, the momentum will shift in the opposite direction. We will go back to real content again.

"History will repeats itself. I believe we're shifting into a modern-day renaissance. Become literate, competent, spiritual and physically fit. Become the best version of yourself by inspiring others with your art, work and interests."

This inspired me to create this page. Let’s join this movement and build something unique by combining individual values and passions.

Who am I?

Nowadays, I mostly work with startups and mid-sized companies. I'm the hands-on CTO of Codigee, specializing in full-stack development, with a strong focus on Flutter and mobile. I bootstrapped company with two of my friends, and together we grew to $2.3M in revenue. In 2023, we achieved a 400% income increase and were hiring 30 people. Codigee has become an Official Google's Flutter Consultant.

But more importantly, it has been a journey—full of great moments, learning, tough times; and hesitation of course.

Who I used to be

Funny enough, I never planned to work in tech. I had started sailing at the age of 7. (big thank you to my parents for supporting me on this journey—I wouldn’t be here without them). Ten years later, I was competing in the World Championships and training with the Polish national team alongside Olympic athletes. Later, I became a windsurfing and kitesurfing instructor. (Do you know Hel in Poland?). Remind me to share some unbelievable stories which happened.

Now, with kitesurfing as my today's main hobby, I have over two decades of experience in water sports at a medium to professional level. These experiences shaped my character in unexpected ways. I was always a quiet mind, but sport transformed me completely.

Why tech?

I started my tech path when I wrote my first lines of code in C. During university, I switched from Windows to Hackintosh just to be cool. That’s how I got into Xcode. It was an amazing experience—except my Hackintosh barely worked. No proper drivers, constant issues… but despite that, I built one of my first apps—Routine Timer. I was frustrated that there wasn’t a fully customizable Tabata timer that worked the way I needed.

After publishing some of my work, I met old friends who discovered my app, We kept pushing ourselves, refining our skills, and constantly challenging each other. At that point, we knew more than most junior developers simply because we never stopped learning.
